Chiropractic and Full-Body Performance Therapy
What does chiropractic care involve?
Chiropractic care uses a history, examination and individualized treatment plan to address joint function, mobility and musculoskeletal concerns. Care may include adjustments, soft-tissue techniques, mobility work and practical recommendations based on your presentation.
What can chiropractic care help me work on?
People commonly seek chiropractic evaluation for back or neck pain, stiffness, restricted movement, extremity concerns, training-related discomfort and mobility limitations. Your examination helps determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.
What is Full-Body Performance Therapy?
It is Wend Wellness’s signature combined session: chiropractic care plus full-body soft-tissue treatment, including approaches such as Active Release Techniques, myofascial release, pin and stretch, trigger-point therapy and assisted mobility. The goal is to reduce pain, restrictions and soreness while supporting movement and physical performance.
Recovery Therapies
How does shockwave therapy work?
Radial shockwave therapy applies acoustic pressure waves to a targeted area. It is used as part of care for certain persistent muscle, tendon and soft-tissue complaints, with treatment recommendations based on the area and individual response.
What is red light therapy?
Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, exposes the body to selected red and near-infrared wavelengths. It is used to support recovery, comfort and general wellness. The recommended schedule depends on your goals and response.
How many recovery sessions will I need?
There is no single schedule for everyone. Recommendations depend on the service, your goals, how long the concern has been present and how you respond. Individual sessions and packages are available.
Medical Massage and Acupuncture
How is medical massage different from a relaxation massage?
Medical massage is goal-directed and focuses on specific areas of tension, discomfort, mobility restriction or recovery needs. Your therapist selects techniques based on the reason for the visit and your tolerance.
What should I expect during my first massage session?
Your therapist will discuss your concerns, goals, relevant history and pressure preferences before beginning. Treatment and draping are adjusted for your comfort, and you can communicate throughout the session.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin. Sensations vary; some people notice little or no discomfort, while others feel brief pressure, tingling or a dull sensation. Tell your acupuncturist about any discomfort so treatment can be adjusted.
How many acupuncture sessions will I need?
Your licensed acupuncturist will recommend a plan after discussing your goals and evaluating your response. Some people schedule a single visit, while others choose a series of appointments.
Nutrition, Body Composition and Training
What is included in a nutrition consultation?
Nutrition consultation focuses on your current routine, goals, preferences and practical obstacles. Dr. Wend develops individualized recommendations and, when appropriate, a follow-up schedule to support body composition, performance and long-term adherence.
Is personal training only for athletes?
No. Training can be adapted for different experience levels and goals, including strength, mobility, body composition, performance and greater confidence with exercise.
Can I combine services?
Yes. Eligible packages may be combined for additional savings: two packages receive 10% off, three receive 15%, four receive 20%, and five or more receive the maximum 25% off. Super U purchases are excluded.
Super U
Where can I learn about or order Super U?
Super U product information and ordering are handled on its dedicated website, SuperU.life.
